And I thought because I ran I could eat anything

Man was I wrong! As anyone who has followed this blog at all knows, last year I dropped about 40 pounds by changing my diet and running my ass off. It started with getting ready for a run at Disney and was helped by a workplace biggest loser competition. Although I didn't win the competition, I regained my love of running and lost the weight, which is a win!

Since then I have slowly be returning to my bad eating habits, all while thinking that I am putting in around 10 to 15 miles a week so it will be ok to have that piece of cake or a burger from McDonald's. Well guess what. I WAS WRONG!!!! I have slowly picked up about 10 pounds over the last couple of months. So I guess I need to re-dedicate myself to eating right. It has just seemed to be a lot easier to just pick something up that to actually make dinner at home. That has to change.

My goal is to get back where I was by Christmas at the latest. I figure that is enough time to not be to hard on my body by losing too much too fast. We shall see.

As far as runs go, I am signed up for the Down Syndrome of Louisville Buddy Run 5k for this Saturday and a 4 miler later in the month. Due to work Chris can't join me for the Buddy Run, but will be at the 4 miler. Should be fun. I will post a recap on each run for all to enjoy.
